Nodal Slide Assembly Setup
Nodal Slide Assembly Setup is useful for accurate measurement of focal length of convex lens and for combination of convex lenses. It consists of incandescent light source, cross slit, movable circular mirror and nodal slide assembly.
The Nodal slide assembly is provided with angular and linear movement along with graduated linear and circular scale. This setup also helps the students to understand the basic property of lens like focal point, nodal Point, principal axis, centre of curvature etc.
Nodal Slide Unit: Two vertical axes contain a carriage with suitable arrangement for combination of single and double lens holders. The lens holders are adjustable in height and are provided with lateral motion by rack and pinion. These motions can be noted along a scale. The vertical carriage containing the whole mount can rotate along the vertical axis along a circular graduated scale.

Scope of Learning
